Enrichment not finding emails

Why enrichment fails

Revnox runs a three-provider waterfall (Hunter → Apollo → Dropcontact) to find email addresses. If all three fail, there are usually addressable reasons.

Check 1: Are your API keys configured?

Enrichment requires valid API keys for at least one provider. Go to Settings > Integrations and confirm:

  • Hunter.io API key is saved and shows "Connected"
  • Apollo API key is saved and shows "Connected"
  • Dropcontact API key is saved and shows "Connected"

Click Test next to each key. A failed test means the key is expired, invalid, or the account has run out of credits.

Check 2: Are you searching by name + company domain?

Enrichment accuracy is highest when you provide:

  • First name + last name (not initials)
  • Company domain (not company name)
Good: Jane Smith + revnox.com Poor: J. Smith + Revnox

If you only have a company name, Revnox will attempt domain resolution first, but this step can fail for companies with unusual branding.

Check 3: Is the company too small or too new?

Enrichment databases have limited coverage for:

  • Companies with fewer than 5 employees
  • Companies founded in the last 6 months
  • Non-English-speaking markets outside major metros

For these, try finding the contact directly on LinkedIn and adding their email manually.

Check 4: Is the role title unusual?

Hunter and Apollo index heavily by common titles (CEO, VP, Head of). Non-standard titles ("Growth Hacker", "Chief Vibes Officer") may not be indexed. Try searching by a more standard version of the title.

Manual fallback

If enrichment fails, open the contact in Revnox and click Add email manually. This bypasses the waterfall and lets you enter an address directly.
