Defining your ICP

Why your ICP matters

Your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) is the foundation of everything in Revnox. It determines how companies are scored, which signals matter most, and how AI personalizes your outreach.

How to define your ICP

Step 1: Write a natural language description

Go to Settings > ICP and describe your ideal customer in plain English. Be specific:

"B2B SaaS companies with 20-200 employees, raised Series A-B in the last year, selling to developers, don't have an SDR team yet."

Step 2: Let AI parse it

Click Generate ICP and Revnox AI will extract structured criteria:

  • Company type
  • Industry
  • Employee range
  • Funding stage
  • Location
  • Tech stack

Step 3: Adjust weights

Not all criteria matter equally. Use the weight sliders to tell Revnox what's most important. If funding stage matters more than company size, give it a higher weight.

Step 4: Save and start scanning

Once saved, Revnox uses your ICP to score every company in your watchlists. High ICP match + strong signals = hot lead.

Tips for a great ICP

  • Be specific: "SaaS companies" is too broad. "B2B SaaS companies selling developer tools" is better.
  • Include negative signals: What companies do you NOT want? "No companies with 500+ employees."
  • Reference behaviors: "Companies that recently hired a VP Sales" tells Revnox what signals to prioritize.
  • Start narrow, expand later: Better to start with a tight ICP and broaden than to waste time on poor-fit companies.
